Just because a company is "non-profit", they generate an income and employees get paid. All profits get put back into the company, and there are no stockholders looking to make money on their stocks.
When we hear the term "Non-Profit", we tend to think of organizations that help people, like the Salvation Army and the Red Cross. But remember, in 1986, the president of the Red Cross made a 6-figure income.... Just something to keep in mind. |

Just because a charity or company is "non-profit" doesn't mean their executives don't make a nice living. Some of them make over a million dollars per year. While the hard-working volunteers get nothing! So, don't go trusting anybody with your money. Do some research before you decide on a credit counselor, or any other business for that matter.
