different timing between states

Is there a difference in the time that should pass from the time listed in chexsystem to the time they stop reporting me because I have moved to another state and want to know what will be my next step .

There are differences in the SOL (statute of limitations) from state to state . It moves from 3 to 6 years . The state in witch you have signed with the creditor is the one that counts .If you still owe to the previous creditor settle your debts and prevent the possibility to be sued and involved with the court.
