Fact: NO COMPANY CAN TAKE NEG. CREDIT OFF OF YOUR REPORT!

Does everybody realize that any company that claims they can "repair" your credit by removing legitimate negative remarks from your credit reports is fake?

While many credit repair companies claim to simply remove negative marks that are not accurate, there are a lot out there who claim to fix your credit regardless if the notes and such are true or not.

The next one of my relatives who calls me in tears because they just lost $200 to someone who promised to get their old gym membership off of their Experian report is getting a slap in the face. In fact, don't even call me because I will hang up on you.....

Good point Lisa. No credit repair company can legally remove accurate information from your credit report.

In fact, most of the stories you hear on the internet, are about how much damage they've caused to your credit report and bank account.

I always recommend to people that they fix their own credit. It takes time and persistence, but you'll be glad you did.

I will have to disagree. I paid a company 2500 about 4 mts ago and they not only removed negative items but the positive items has well. I am still upset because now my credit file is BLANK and No credit is almost the same as having bad credit.

I've personally never heard of any company deleting entire credit histories. In any case, I guess you're in a slightly better situation than someone with bad credit.

Saying a credit repair company can't remove accurate negative items is like saying a lawyer can't get a murderer off.

Credit Repair companies can and do in fact remove items that are in fact theirs. people can dispute thier own items and get them removed as well.

That being said the problem comes in the guarantee. No company or individual can guarantee anything can be deleted.

I work with a company that guarantees to get me you to a 720 credit score. This guarantee has nothing to do with removing items as there is the chance that nothing can be removed. However this company guides and counsels clients on proper credit management which is how people get good credit.

There is also no time frame on this guarantee as different people move at a different pace. The company doesn't limit their service to 6 month or a year. They will work with you until you have a 720 credit score.
