Default Credit Advice

Hi there, I’m not in too much dept now. I managed to clear most of my debts over the last few years. There is just a credit card that outstanding now which is manageable. but it wasn't always that way. I had a lot of problems paying back loans and missed several installments on the loans and on the credit card repayments. Would my credit rating be badly affected by this?
