Clearing your Name from ChexSystems

Many people have asked me whether or not it is possible to get your name removed from the ChexSystems database. Under normal circumstances it is not possible to have your name removed from ChexSystems if they hold correct and verifiable information about you.

There are, however, a couple of instances in which ChexSystems would be obligated to clear your name.

1. If they hold inaccurate or unverifiable information about you.

2. If they violate any of the terms as set forth by the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act).

Getting your name removed is not an easy process, and it often takes months to achieve. If you are looking for fast solutions, I suggest you look for a Non-ChexSystems Bank or a bank that offers second chance checking.
