If you are listed for bankruptcy your account will be discharged after 60 days and normally you can open a new account .Your account will show 0 debts but still your report in the chexsystem reports about the bankruptcy act .You can now try to take yourself out of chexsystem and even succeed but there is a chance that the information stays somewhere in the financial bureaus to prevent you to open a new business for some years according to the law unless you can prove your innocence because of a mistake or fraud done by someone else .If you know you are clean do not give up ,take help from a lawyer .
